About

CoursePilot

You want to start a career in tech, you know the course providers out there, you know which languages you're interested in but how do you pick the right course?

The vision behind CoursePilot is to provide an independent platform for people to leave anonymous, honest reviews of the courses they have undertaken, starting from coding bootcamps.

What distinguishes us from other course review platforms is that:

  • We allow anyone to post a review without moderation, which prevents course providers from pre-screening or moderating what people say and read.
  • We allow you to post anonymously so you don't have to worry about potential prejudice, unconscious bias or other repercussions. I'm sure the course providers would not behave in such a manner but we always worry, don't we? Especially when our careers are on the line.

We want to provide students with a powerful voice. We want to offer transparency for prospective, potential students. And we want to offer insights to the course providers so they can improve the experiences they offer.

Join our community today and help us to guide others to the right course for them.

FAQs

Why are the reviews anonymous?

Many students may not feel comfortable sharing constructive criticism with their identity exposed. To encourage a balanced review and to help students avoid any chance of awkwardness with course providers or future employers, we chose to keep the reviewers anonymous.

This does not mean we will be complacent in monitoring the reviews. We want to foster an environment of openness and trust so we will investigate and take action against feedback that breach our guideline

If the reviews are anonymous, why do I have to sign in?

We may need to get in touch for account- and/or service- related issues.

Also, we want to keep the reviews real and honest, the log in / sign up process acts as a potential barrier to deter someone from leaving fake or unhelpful reviews.

Why are you asking me for my salary?

We chose to give reviewers the option of entering their post-graduation starting salary so that we can collect the average and provide a fully transparent picture of what the post-graduation landscape looks like for that particular course.

For many of us, we joined a course with the hopes of developing a career in that field and, here at CoursePilot, we believe that the post-graduation salary is a great measurement for boosting a student's confidence in a course. It can help to provide recent graduates to negotiate their starting salary too.

Edit or delete your review

You can edit or delete your review at any time. You're encouraged to update an existing review if you want to add more information about a particular experience. And while it's fine to write more than one review for a business if you've had more than one experience, please don't bombard a course with lots of reviews, because that's not helpful for anyone.
